This Plantation has some very serious history behind it! First, most should recognize that drive from “Forrest Gump” as it’s the “Run, Forrest, Run” driveway. The boarding house in the film was built just for the film, appears it was torn down for the new home now. This Plantation grows heirloom, organic Carolina Gold rice. I have some but have never cooked it. I’ve heard that it is all that the Emperor of China eats, that there is nothing that compares. Could be our briney water. (?) Harriet Tubman launched her 1863 raid on the Combahee River, rescuing 800 slaves and delivering to the Union valuable goods confiscated from Confederate forces. *Its history but a betrayal to the Plantation, in my opinion. 1865, Sherman's troops burned the plantation and it was confiscated by the government. Baggett was able to obtain the property back in October of the same year. This meaning that, I’m assuming, there was an original home on the property.

This is insane my dad built this place the owner Bobby Glover the property is next to the Ridgeland golf course my dad spent 13 years of my life mining the sand from that land there is a giant lake 300 acres to be exact I drove all over that land it was so amazing growing up on this land

Where is the most affordable; yet, most beautiful place to live in South Carolina? I don't suppose the owner of this gorgeous plantation would be willing to sell half an acre? I would build a home to retire in. Absolutely beautiful!

I love the way plantation houses look. Lots of land, long driveways, oak trees, etc. I just hate the history behind them! I hope one day I can build my own from scratch. :)

Just choose to believe in Yeshua, He is the only begotten Son of God who died and rose three days later and loves all of you. Seek God in scripture and learn who He is and obey His every word, live in obedience to the full gospel like you are supposed to. That is life more abundantly that Yeshua said in John 10:10 Obey scripture and live in God's blessings because disobedience brings curses, that's suffering like illness and demons, poverty and loss. Deuteronomy 28, it's about curses and blessings and there are other scriptures telling this truth too. See your worth in scripture too, see how God sees you, how He loves you and has plans for you..read it all and do so often. It's about God, how He is and how we are supposed to live and it does tell your worth, 💕. Trust God it is absolutely wise to do because He is faithful to every word and wants us to be faithful to every word.

This place is beautiful you have to see it in person to see the true beauty of the property. My wife and I went here in the summer of 2021 for a party that LIN WOOD was the host when he ran for office here in SC .Lin wood is the Current owner of this place that he bought from TED TURNER od CNN
